“Feedback on my stay with Travelodge - Montreal”

I suppose that my only complaint was the lack of friendliness with the staff. When I checked in on Friday, Nov. 22/13 around 2:00 pm, the staff person at the desk was 'aloof' and quite unfriendly. I was new to the city and it sure would have been nice to have encountered a friendly face, but I did not. I called down to the desk later that same evening, first to ask about the continental breakfast (what was being served, and what times it started and ended) and it was obvious to me that this person didn't want to talk to me and just gave 'clipped' answers - not friendly at all. Later that same evening, I called down to the front desk to request an important wake up call for 7:00 am the next morning - I NEVER DID GET THE WAKE UP CALL. I was very annoyed by that as I had to be ready for someone who was coming to collect me in the morning. Overall, the room, building, location, etc. was 'okay', but if I chose not to stay there again, it would be because I did not feel welcomed at all. and found the staff snotty. It was a real turn off. I had just come from a very positive experience at the Holiday Inn in St. Jean-sur-Richilieu where everyone was SO friendly and SO welcoming to the Travelodge where it was quite the opposite. It was quite diappointing. I feel that if people in that position don't like dealing with people, they should be finding another job.
