“Gettysburg Trip 2013”

  , Albuquerque
I stayed at the Gettysburg Travelodge for the first time in October. I stayed for 10 nights and everything was great. The service was first-rate, the rooms were super-clean, the housekeeping staff was fantastic and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The location of the Travelodge is PERFECT, right in the middle of everything, one end of the parking lot is on Baltimore Street and the other end is on Steinwehr Avenue, the two main streets in the town. The hotel is located right next to the Gettysburg National Cemetery and there are lots of great restaurants, ghost tours, museums, and shopping right next door or within very close walking distance. The Travelodge offers a free breakfast which is pretty good...hey it's free...but it could be better with some meat choices---biscuits and gravy would be fantastic! The bagels were fresh & the cream cheese was very good with possibly the best hotel coffee I've had, at least in recent memory! I have stayed at several hotels/motels in the Gettysburg area over the years and I'd have to say that the Travelodge is currently at the top of my "best places" to stay in town list. I'm already planning my 2014 trip and the Travelodge will be where I stay on my next trip for sure!
