“Poor visit”

First off, my expectations for this place when I booked it wasn't necessarily high. It was only an overnight stay and a little over a $100, which for me is somewhat pricey for only staying there for less than 10 hours. When I arrived at LAX, I called for a shuttle to pick me up. The front desk agent informed me to look for a shuttle that says "Air Time" on it and that it should be about 25 minutes. I waited and waited and called the agent back to get a status. The agent said he'll call the driver, but I was already impatient at that point and just caught a cab there. Got in the cab and the cab driver stated "They have shuttles," I responded "Unfortunately, they seem to have forgotten." Can driver charged me $20 for a 4 mile driver, because the loss he was taking for such a short distance. When I arrived at Travelodge, the agent was training a new hire. The new hire seemed quite friendly, but the agent was very short and non-professional. Once he pulled up my name, he said "the driver said he couldn't find you." At that point I didn't argue, because I was already irritated and just gave him a sarcastic grin. Agent directed to where my room was, and I had asked about the need for a shuttle in the morning back to LAX. He in turn said "well, you need to tell me that now." Reached my room, which was extremely small, but suitable for a 10 hour stay. From 11pm-300am I could hear stomping from above me and the loud neighbors across the way. I definitely did not feel safe and only half slept for 2 hours. When I checked out, surprisingly the shuttle driver was awaiting with a smile! He even took my bag for me and got me to the airport quickly! When I stepped out, he opened the door for me, and picked up my bag. Very considerate and friendly driver. I will say he was the best part of this experience. Aside from that, I will never stay here again.
