“Broken Ribs”

  , Aetna
Have been staying there now for a few months. The stairs to the second level are dangerous and should be changed out. They get wet and slippery when it freezes and it doesn't help that the rain gutter needs repair and leaks on to them when it thaws slightly. The staff does there best to keep the stairs salted but on the Morning of Dec 15th they were extremely bad and my feet went out from under me causing me to slam down on my side and tumble half way down the stairs. Was in a lot of pain and went to the office and told her about it and she immediately went out and salted the stairs. Later during Christmas finally had enough as the pain was still there so went and had x-ray done on the 26th and have two fractured ribs. Not much you can do for them but take it easy. Just wanted to let you know as the stairs can be made a lot safer. I work as a supervisor in oilfield construction and we build and install stairs all the time but use a open serrated tread to prevent this kind of thing happening to the operators of these facilities we build. The stairs at the hotel could be built in the same way but with a more appealing look to suit the premises. Something you should look at before you have this happen to someone else and they decide to sue, which I am sure would be a lot more than repairing the stair tread issue. Other than that I enjoy the facility and the staff are very friendly and accommodating.
