“Beware of reservation changes”

I recently stayed at a Travelodge hotel on 6/14/13. I checked on-line to confirm my reservation on 6/10/13 and found that the reservation only indicated 1 Queen Bed instead of 2. I made this reservation 11 months ago and figured it must have been a simple electronic mistake. I called the hotel to resolve the change but the Nicole stated that they could only follow what they were seeing on their computer system. She stated she could only see 2 people and 1 Queen Bed and if I wanted to have another guest I would have to request a roll away for $15 a night. I was very surprised. I offered to provide my email confirmation showing I have two queen beds and 2 adult and 1 teenage child but she stated it did not make a difference. Even the on-line confirmation showed 2 adults and a teenager at a minimum but she stated that she did not see that on her computer. She stated that she has been the manager for the last month and could not vouch for what may have happened before. I asked if she could not provide the 2 queen beds then maybe she could possibly provide the roll away at no cost since I originally had 2 queen beds. She strongly stated she could not and I needed to provide an additional $15 a night. Even though I offered to provide my email confirmation she continued to state that she only could provide what she previously stated and if I continued to question her, she would cancel my reservation. She further strongly emphasized that if I showed up with three people I could be turned away and if I get caught with any additional people I would be removed from the room. If I complained any more, she would also cancel my reservation because she could refuse service to anyone without cause. The area is booked up during graduation time at the college. I could not afford to have nowhere to stay. I felt threatened that I may arrive with no hotel room and did not know what else to expect. I feel the room change and additional cost was suspicious. Also heard snoring through the walls all night and walls had unpainted patches. No air or heat in room; just windows. Beware.
